Disaster Relief Efforts – Present – Hurricane Relief Effort

In the wake of the recent hurricanes, First Baptist Church will partner with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in relief efforts.

Financial Gifts
Those wanting to make financial gifts can do it through the FBC Rome website HERE.
You can also TEXT to give. Simply text FUNDS to 706-222-1143. It will offer a list of accounts to donate through. Text your donation amount ($100) in response. It will prompt you with a link to submit a one time gift in that amount to Disaster Response.
We will send 100% of donations directly to aid hurricane victims during the relief effort.

Hands on work at Hopeful Baptist Church
A work crew travelled to clean up Hopeful Baptist Church’s parsonage on Saturday, November 3rd.  They worked along side other Hopeful church members cleaning both the parsonage as well as the yard of another HBC church member. We are grateful to those who took time to serve and share their gifts as the Hands of Christ on our behalf.

Filling Brandon Johnson’s cattle trailer with supplies
Those wanting to donate supplies, feel free to bring them to the FBC offices during office hours.

Disaster Relief Efforts – Past

First Baptist Church rallied around victims of the 2004 tsunami in the Pacific Rim and raised $150,000 for water treatment equipment.

First Baptist Church responded to Hurricane Katrina in 2005. We partnered with University Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS to deliver critical supplies to the devastated area. Trucks loaded with supplies left the FBC parking lot every other day for over a week taking requested supplies.

First Baptist Church delivered supplies, a generator, and our disaster relief, child-care trailer to Williams First Baptist Church near Jacksonville, Alabama in 2011 after tornadoes devastated that community.
